2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, on servers in data centres in Nuremberg, Germany. Requests first pass through an upstream server (gateway) that establishes the encrypted connection and caches pages, and from there reach the web server. Both servers automatically record information transmitted by your browser in so-called server log files: the IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referrer URL, the browser type and version and the operating system used. This data is processed in order to deliver the website, to ensure stability and security, and for technical error analysis; it is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest.
3. Cookies and consent
On your first visit we ask you in a dialog whether you agree to services that are not strictly necessary. They are grouped into statistics (audience measurement), advertising (ads) and external media (videos, maps and other embedded content). “Reject” is as easy as “Accept”; under “Settings” you can choose individual groups. Without your consent, this website loads none of these services. Your decision is stored in the cookie “tm_consent” on your device; it contains only your choice and the time, is not passed on to third parties and is deleted after 180 days, after which we ask again. This cookie is strictly necessary to respect your choice. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; when you withdraw, we delete the Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies stored on this domain and reload the page.
4. Web analytics and advertising (Google)
Only if you agree in the consent dialog do we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Without your consent, the Google script is not loaded. Google Analytics evaluates how the website is used, for example which pages are visited, and sets the cookies _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID for this purpose, which according to Google remain stored for up to two years unless you delete them first or withdraw your consent.

5. Fonts and external resources
Fonts and programme libraries for tables and maps are served from our own server; no connection to Google or other providers is made for them when a page is opened. Videos, maps and other content embedded from other providers are loaded only if you agree to the “External media” group or load an individual item via its placeholder. Your browser then connects to the respective provider and transmits your IP address, and the provider may set cookies. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG).
6. Contacting us
If you contact us by email, we process the data you transmit in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures/contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). The data is erased as soon as it is no longer required for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations preclude erasure.
